Brainspotting
Healing doesn’t always require words. Sometimes, it just needs a spot.
Unlock What Words Cannot Reach
Sometimes, the pain we carry doesn’t have words. Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-based therapy that helps people access and process deeply stored emotional trauma by working directly with the brain's trauma centers. It was developed by Dr. David Grand and is especially effective when traditional talk therapy falls short.
In Brainspotting, your therapist will guide your gaze to a specific eye position—your “brainspot”—which correlates with where emotional experiences are stored in your brain. This spot allows your brain and body to process unresolved trauma, stress, or blocks at a deep neurological level.
What Happens in a Session?
Sessions are calm, safe, and focused. You’ll sit with your therapist in a quiet room, often listening to calming bilateral music. As your eyes focus on a particular point, your therapist helps you stay present with thoughts, memories, or sensations that arise. You’re not forced to relive trauma verbally—instead, the healing occurs internally as your brain does the work it’s wired to do.
Who Is It For?
Brainspotting is ideal for individuals struggling with:
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Anxiety or panic attacks
Chronic pain or physical trauma
Creative or athletic performance blocks
Dissociation or emotional numbness
Why It Works
Traditional talk therapy accesses the thinking brain (neocortex), while trauma is often stored in the midbrain and brainstem—areas Brainspotting directly engages. This makes it a gentle yet powerful approach for those who feel “stuck” or overwhelmed by unresolved experiences.
