Play Therapy
(For Children Ages 2–10)
Building a Foundation for Lifelong Emotional Health
Because Kids Don’t Always Have the Words
Play is a child’s language—and through Play Therapy, children can safely express what they’re feeling, even when they can’t explain it. Designed for kids ages 2 to 10, this method uses toys, art, stories, and games to help children process emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping skills.
Children often struggle to understand or verbalize big emotions like fear, anger, or sadness. Play Therapy provides a structured yet gentle way to explore these feelings in a developmentally appropriate environment.
What Happens in a Session?
Each session is led by a trained child therapist who observes, engages, and supports the child through therapeutic play. Children might choose from a variety of activities—sand trays, puppets, drawing, building, or pretend play—that allow them to externalize and process inner experiences.
While your child plays, the therapist tracks patterns, behaviors, and emotional themes, gently guiding the child toward emotional awareness and resolution.
Who Is It For?
Play Therapy can benefit children experiencing:
Behavioral issues or tantrums
Anxiety, fear, or phobias
Trauma or abuse
Grief and loss
Divorce or family transitions
Developmental delays or social challenges
Through play, children make sense of their world. Play Therapy doesn’t just help them feel better—it equips them with lifelong tools for emotional understanding, self-regulation, and confidence.
