Natalie Rieke, LMHCA

Therapist for kids and teens heal from anxiety, grief, and disconnection

Hi, I’m Natalie! I am a compassionate and dedicated mental health counselor with over 10 years of experience as a school counselor, specializing in working with youth and adolescents. With a deep understanding of the unique emotional challenges young people face, I offer support for a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, peer relationships, academic stress, and identity development. I am also highly skilled in grief work, helping clients navigate the complex emotions surrounding loss – whether it’s the death of a loved one, a significant life change, or family transitions.

My client-centered approach fosters a safe, empathetic, and non-judgmental space where youth can explore their emotions, build resilience, and develop healthy coping strategies. Passionate about mental health advocacy and early intervention, I am honored to walk alongside clients and families on their journey toward emotional well-being.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University, a master’s degree in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University, and a post-master’s certificate in Mental Health Counseling from Butler University. I enjoy running, watching movies, and enjoying time with my family.

You may find yourself:

  • Watching your child shut down or act out and not knowing how to help

  • Noticing your teen’s anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional pain growing

  • Feeling like school has become a daily battle—for them and for you

  • Watching your child grieve the loss of someone or something important

  • Seeing your child struggle to fit in or feel like they belong

  • Worrying they’re carrying more than they know how to say

What You Can Expect From Me:

In our work together, you can expect a space that’s calm, welcoming, and kid-centered. I meet clients exactly where they are—emotionally, developmentally, and relationally. Whether it’s through talk, play, or creative expression, I help children and teens feel safe enough to open up and strong enough to grow.

With over a decade of school counseling experience, I understand how academic, social, and family pressures intersect. I’m here to walk alongside young people and their parents as they navigate the real challenges of growing up—and to help them build lasting tools for resilience and self-worth.
